FG Empreendimentos is the Brazilian developer that reshaped the skyline of Balneário Camboriú, Santa Catarina - now widely described as South America's skyscraper capital. Founded in 2003 by Francisco Graciola and his son Jean Graciola, the company has delivered more than 5,000 units across 60+ developments and is responsible for 8 of the city's 10 tallest towers, including One Tower, the Yachthouse Residence Club and the record-breaking Senna Tower.
FG Empreendimentos grew out of the Graciola family's roots in Santa Catarina. Francisco Graciola, born in 1952 in Gaspar into a farming family, began working in civil construction in Blumenau in the 1980s and invested early in land in Balneário Camboriú. In 2003 he formalised FG Empreendimentos with a defining ambition: to compete not on volume, but on impact. His son Jean Graciola, the company's CEO, took the business to a new scale.
Today the Graciolas oversee a group of more than 60 companies spanning construction, development, hospitality, architecture, communication, services and entertainment, employing over 7,000 people. FG owns an estimated 80% of Balneário Camboriú's beachfront and is driving 8 of the 10 tallest towers in the city - two of which rank among the tallest buildings in Brazil.
The portfolio reads like a record book. One Tower rises 281m across 84 floors and stood as the tallest purely residential tower in Latin America. The Yachthouse Residence Club, designed with Pininfarina, comprises twin 294m towers. And the Senna Tower - named in honour of Ayrton Senna and under construction on Avenida Atlântica - is planned at 544m, set to become the tallest residential building in the world, the first supertall residential tower certified LEED Platinum and the first in Latin America to use tuned-mass-damper technology. Further landmarks include Epic Tower, Boreal Tower, Infinity Coast, Sapphire and Imperium.
