About

Banyan Group Residences

Banyan Group Residences is the branded residences arm of Banyan Group, the Singapore-listed hospitality company formerly known as Banyan Tree. Tracing its origins to the 1994 opening of Banyan Tree Phuket, the group has grown into a global operator of around 100 resorts and 14 branded residences across more than 20 countries. Its residences pair villas, townhouses and apartments with the service and wellbeing philosophy of brands including Banyan Tree, Angsana and Cassia.

Banyan Group was founded by Ho Kwon Ping and Claire Chiang, who opened the first Banyan Tree resort in Phuket in 1994 on land regenerated from a former mining site. Renamed from Banyan Tree Holdings to Banyan Group in 2023, the company is listed on the Singapore Exchange and led by Executive Chairman Ho Kwon Ping with President and Group CEO Eddy See.

The group operates around a dozen brands spanning ultra-luxury to lifestyle and extended-stay hospitality, including Banyan Tree, Angsana, Cassia, Dhawa and Garrya, and reached its 100th property in 2025. Its branded residences arm, Banyan Group Residences, comprises 14 developments that allow owners to buy hotel-serviced homes with managed rental and ownership programmes.

Notable residential projects include Banyan Tree Residences within Laguna Phuket in Thailand, Banyan Tree Residences Hillside Dubai, Banyan Tree Doha Residences in Qatar, Banyan Tree Residences West Palm Beach in Florida and Banyan Tree Bimini in the Bahamas. The group also maintains a long-standing strategic partnership with Accor.
